Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle: Composting at Hearst Castle

Join California State Parks Interpreter Tracy Kosinski and Shannon Elvers (gardener) at Hearst Castle to discover how composting helps the gardens of Hearst Castle to be their own healthy ecosystem containing plants, animals, and organisms! Follow our gardeners in their efforts to reduce, reuse, and recycle plant material through composting. In this dynamic program we will learn how to compost while visiting the gardens, the composting site, and seeing the equipment used to create a healthy garden ecosystem.
