Objective:
Teach students to recognize, segment, blend, and read words with L-blends.

Key Concepts:
- Definition of Blends: A combination of two or three consonants where each letter retains its sound.
- L-Blends Examples: sl, gl, fl, cl, pl.
Activities:

- Example words: flag, slug, clap, plug, slam, slack.
- Teacher models first; students practice with provided words.
- Phonemic Awareness:
- Blending: Teacher says sounds, students blend to form words.

- Using whiteboards/paper, students write and build words with L-blends.
- Circle Map Activity:
- Identify and sort pictures containing L-blends.
