How did music bring good effects on the civil rights movement, and how did it change.

The aim of this collection is to understand the relationship between music, such as jazz, gospel and spirituals etc and civil rights movement. In the 1950s, civil rights movement, which is for equal rights for African Americans to end racial discrimination, became a social movement. It spanned from 1950s to the 1960s, and people used various nonviolent ways, including music, to challenge segregation and inequality. At that time, music played an important role in the movement. People overcame with music. This collection includes images, videos and audio.
