Peace and Love in Pictures: Lisa Law's Photography of the 1960s Counterculture

Lisa Law (1943-) began her career as a photographer in the Bay area of California in the 1960's. Using her proximity to the counterculture movement as the assistant to the manager of popular folk-pop band The Kingston Trio, Lisa was able to document the movement in pictures. Lisa Law's photography showcases the world of the counterculture as an insider, having many photos of prominent musicians and literary figures of the era, as well as pictures from communes, protests, and and the people of the San Francisco area.
